Friday afternoon at Ocean Beach had a mixed west swell running from 260° combined with a south wind swell from 150°, pushing surf in the 2-4 foot range with local sets reaching 5 feet. During the 1730-1845(5:30-6:45pm) window, the tide was on a strong push toward the evening high, swinging from a 0.5-foot low at 1154(11:54am) up to a 4.3-foot high at 1836(6:36pm) – so the sandbars at Tower 3 were filling in fast as the session went on. Winds were moderate and onshore from the WNW averaging around 9 mph, giving the surface that classic choppy late-afternoon OB texture.

Not the cleanest conditions, but OB does what OB does – keeps the peaks coming.
